Herley's Farmingdale Division to Supply Microwave Assemblies for the Phased Array Radar

LANCASTER, Pa., June 22, 2005 -- Herley Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: HRLY) announced today that its Farmingdale, NY division has received a $1.2 million contract award from a major defense contractor. Herley Farmingdale will supply complex integrated microwave assemblies for the United States Ballistic Missile Defense system.

John M. Kelley, Herley President, stated, "Herley Farmingdale has had an early and active role in the U.S. BMD program. Over the years, we have gained valuable technical experience and knowledge enabling us to expand our contribution and be a leader in product design for missile defense and related opportunities."
