LANCASTER, PA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 06/09/06 -- The Board of Directors of Herley Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: HRLY), announced today that Lee N. Blatt resigned as Chairman of the Board and director of the Company. The resignation was accepted by the Board at its regularly scheduled meeting on June 8, 2006 with regret and deep appreciation for his forty-one years of service to the Company.

According to the Company's succession plans, the Board of Directors elected Myron Levy to serve as Chairman of the Board, and Adm. Edward K. Walker, (Ret.) as its Vice Chairman, effective immediately.
